BEST Meeting LXV

The Spring 2023 Meeting will now be held on 28-29 March in Tokyo, Japan

Important News

  • Dates have been set for the meeting to be held at the Japanese Red Cross Society Headquarters. Note that this is a Tuesday-Wednesday configuration.
  • No room block is being arranged.
  • A half-day education event is being planned tentatively for Monday, 27 March 2023. Details will follow at a later date.
  • There remain significant restrictions and requirements for those arriving from outside of Japan. These are more conservative compared to other countries. We are currently evaluating the possibility of moving the meeting to a location in Europe on 21-22 April 2023, and expect to make this decision by the meeting in Cocoa Beach. We highly recommend that you do not make non-refundable travel arrangements for Japan.

Any commercial organization or Blood Service interested in advancing the purpose of BEST may become a supporter of BEST by paying the annual dues amount; providing a Member at meetings to participate in discussions.

BEST meetings provide a wealth of information as the studies reflect the cutting edge of research in the industry. Supporting members are highly encouraged to participate and even lead studies. This provides an excellent opportunity for strategic planning.

Supporting members of BEST include a broad range of companies and blood suppliers engaged with blood collection, distribution and transfusion worldwide. BEST also has some participation from regulatory agencies such as FDA and the Paul Ehrlich Institute. Participation gives a supporting member a seat at this international forum to meet and network.
