  • The AABB Annual Meeting will be held immediately following on 14-17 October 2023.
  • We still plan to hold this meeting in a Zoom Events hyrbid format Pre-registration will be required and announced when available.

Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) will begin requiring verification of vaccination in select high-risk settings by October 7, 2021. The details are summarized below:

  • Customers and employees at bars, breweries, wineries, night clubs and lounges must show proof of least one dose of the vaccine by October 7, and both doses by November 4.
  • Attendees at outdoor mega-events (defined as those with 10,000 or more in attendance) must who proof of vaccination, or a who proof of a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of entry. These would include events like Dodger, Rams, Chargers, games
  • Attendees at indoor mega-events (defined as those with 5,000 or more in attendance) must who proof of vaccination, or a who proof of a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of entry. These would include events like Laker games, concerts, etc.
  • While not required, vaccine verification at indoor portions of restaurants is also recommended.

Mask requirements (effective date 19 Aug 2021)

  • EVERYONE over the age of 2, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask
    • In all indoor public settings, venues, gatherings, and public and private businesses in Los Angeles County
    • On planes, trains, buses, ferries, taxis and ride-shares, and all other forms of public transport
    • In transportation hubs like airports, bus terminals, train stations, marinas, seaports or other ports,
      subway stations, or any other area that provides transportation
    • At outdoor mega-events (defined as those with 10,000 or more in attendance)
    • In any other outdoor location where it is the policy of the business or venue (Note: This will be the case at the Marriott property)
  • You are allowed to take off your mask while you are:
    • Actively eating or drinking as long as you are sitting or standing in a specific place such as a table, counter, or ticketed seat. This means that you can briefly remove your mask when you are actually eating or drinking but you must put it back on immediately afterwards. You must also wear a mask when you are waiting to be served, between courses or drinks, and while seated after finishing your food or drink.
    • Alone in a separate room or office.
    • Showering or swimming.
    • Performing or receiving personal hygiene or personal care services (like a facial or shave) that cannot be done
      without removing your mask.
